Description

Yet another Tolkien illumination, this time focusing on a quote from J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Silmarillion' about the awakening of the elves and their love of the stars. It doesn't depict any elf in particular, that is just left to your imagination.
I've been struggling to get a picture that shows both the colour and gold well - I think I need to brush up on my photography skills! I tried scanning but the gold just looked flat and dull.
 Again this was an exercise in the use of gold leaf and calligraphy in combination with medieval style illustration.
Any feedback would be much appreciated!
